The following is an interview...by myself...

Name, Age and Location
Patrick, 14, and Santa Clara, CA

How long have you been riding?
Since the summer of 2002, so about 1 1/2 years.

What is your favorite city to ride in?
Milpitas, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara. Each has something different to ride.

What kind of discipline do you consider yourself to be (flatland, vert, street, dirt, ramps)?
If I were to pick one, I'd say I'm a vert rider. But I love being able to do flatland tricks and just make people stop and watch that biker doing the tricks on the sidewalk.

Favorite trick to do?
Steamroller or alley-oop 180's

Favorite trick seen?
Allan Cooke's superflip (yeah, a superman backflip)

Worst crash / injury on a bike?
This was actually before I started riding when I was about 8. I was at the park and these older guys were sessioning a slap of concrete. I had my bike with me, so I rode up to it and flipped forward. I could say that I pulled a front flip of some kinds there, but you guys can figure out what happened. I ended up getting I think 8 stitches in my upper lip and I looked like the Elephant Man for the next 2 months.

Do you put emphasis on tricks or style?
Style. There are pros (like Mike Aitken) that can make tabletops look like a backflip, and then there are guys that sketch out on 540's and while thats a noble trick to fall on, style comes in handy there.
Thats what I'll do when learning a trick too, I'll learn the trick and then learn some variations, put it in spins, and then learn a new trick, all the while keeping my trick dialed.
